Following yesterday’s announcement that Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey, will succeed Angela Ahrendts as CEO following her move to Apple, take a look at some of the designer’s womenswear highlights from his time so far at the English heritage brand.
Born in Yorkshire in 1971, Bailey graduated from the University of Westminster and went on to do a fashion Masters at the Royal College of Art. From there, he went to work for Donna Karan and at Gucci under Tom Ford’s leadership, before joining Burberry in 2001 and, together with Ahrendts, turning it into a global fashion phenomenon.
